About
Near the end of 2025, I saw a video on facebook of the track built by Dallas Stephens, Meal Ticket Raceway, and fell in love with the idea of building a track. In the eternal words of my father, I am mechanically "reclined" so this was going to be way out of my comfort zone, but the idea was too much for me to ignore. My basement is a finished basement with really nice paneling, pool table, etc, so I promised my wife I wouldn't put any holes in the walls. That was a challenge but I was able to make it happen and built the track above, over and under anything in the way. After I built it, I discovered this whole world of diecast racing (3D Bot Maker, Tiny Track Cars, etc...) so I decided to add some Sizzler track with a jump at the end of my track and this decision has resulted in just the right amount of chaos during races - the fastest doesn't necessarily always win! The track is in a never-ending process of seeking perfect performance. This track is a challenge of speed and handling, a wide variety of castings have performed very well; but beware, extra wide cars have a horrible time on the track due to rubbing all the way down. The timer I use is at the end of the orange HW track and is used solely for lane choice purposes in two-of-three race formats when a 3rd race is necessary. The finish line is at the end of the Sizzler track after the jump. I look forward to hosting races but am currently entering a few that other folks are hosting to get ideas on what would work best for me.
