About

Tail of the Dragon was inspired by a stretch of road in Deals Gap NC...my home state...that goes by the same name. I had been wanting to construct a downhill road course using Fat Track, but I wanted the Drop to be 3 single lanes feeding the cars into the Open Track portion. When 3D Botmaker came out with the 3 Lane Fat Track Start Gate...that was pretty much the final piece of the puzzle to bring Tail of the Dragon to life.  I purchased my supplies online, and there all the 70's Vintage Sizzlers Curves and Track...48 years old and racing once again...also, as is League of Speed tradition...the 4 curves have names...Curve 1 is Plunder...Curve 2 is Ravage...Curve 3 is Scorch...and Curve 4 is Pillage.  We race 27 car fields on the Dragon...sometimes 9 teams of 3 cars and sometimes 27 individual teams...a car wins a race on Tail of the Dragon by accumulating points over 3 runs from each lane...something unique about racing on Tail of the Dragon. The Tail of the Dragon is located at League of Speed Racing Grounds in North Carolina...we hope you decide to challenge the Dragon.
