About
One of 5 diecast racing tracks at the DRPG racing complex. This track is built with Hot Wheels standard orange track. It has a launch height of 80 inches. The first drop from the starting gate takes the vehicles from 80" down a 6' ramp to a level of 64" where the vehicles will need to travel a total of 22' (including a 180 degree turn) before it gets to the 2nd down ramp. Vehicle will then go from 64" level down a 6' ramp to the 48" level where it will go through another 180 degree turn before going down another 6' ramp to the 32" level where it will go through another 180 degree turn before going down another 6' ramp to the 16" level through another 180 degree turn to the floor level where it will travel through a double 90 degree turn before hitting a short straight to the finish line. If a casting can not efficiently make it thorugh the first turn it usually wont make it past the 64" level. This course is a real test on a castings efficiency. A good lap time is in the 14 second range, a great time is under 14 seconds. There are 4 Spool Heads SR 1:55 banked 180 turns and 2 Spool Heads SR 1:55 banked 90 turns used in this track. It is equipped with a Playrobotics Timing System that is connected to a PC where times are downloaded right into excel. We have almost 2,000 castings in stock ready to run down this track and accumulate casting performance data.
