3D & Monster Trucks
Okay, now how cool is that? Like sway bar/stiffeners so that these monster trucks can navigate a longer than average course in a mostly straight line and still provide fans with that rollicking "Sunday, Sunday Sunday!" levels of action! The centre black piece appears to be a small O-ring plumbing repair washer?

Over the summer I developed a racing game that would use monster trucks and moveable track pieces. The number and positions of the track pieces would be determined by a roll of a few dice. Trucks that interacted with the moveable pieces could get penalties or rewards. The thought of shipping these larger vehicles around seems to me to be too expensive and a hassle.
- Yep, packing & postage would be more all around, without a doubt. If you have the rules somewhere for that game, I'd be interested in a DM of them to read! — Chris_Hood
- Right now I’m consumed with getting my new track fully functional and then prepping for 3 events in December. I’ll shoot a demo video by years end. — AbbyNormal
The kids at our youth group will drag race monster trucks next week at our Turkey Gobbler Race. Now I'm drawing up a course after watching 3Ds race to add the real life Monster Truck style racing.
I bought some finish line extenders for the Hotwheels 6 lane track to raise it up to allow trucks to run on track ...
Should keep kiddos going for winter indoor racing.. Until we get the table built for dirt, jumps, jumps, ect
Here's the 3D printed riser and the extender so finish line move further down past transition..
During race a couple of the sway bars came loose.
im thinking of using baby zip ties to hold them in place when I set up my GraveDigger..
- I was think of zip ties as well. Inexpensive at a local liquidation outlet. — Midwest_Diecast_Raceway
- The odd mid-production oopsie. Like he ran the first race and immediately improved the design for subsequent runs — Chris_Hood
I'll have to try this. A monster truck track is my sons next request LoL
sway bars, and agree that it's probably an o ring
can confirm,
office depot mini binder clips fit the axle width perfect

- looks like it to me... — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
- gonna find o rings at ace tomorrow — dr_dodge
- I posted a picture on the 3D Bot Maker FB page. 3D confirmed these are the clips he used. — Midwest_Diecast_Raceway
So here is the deal on those clips from my point of view. As I mentioned earlier, I fiddled around with several monster trucks looking at a racing game. These trucks have kind of a gimbal, like set up on the front and rear axles. So that, these wheels can turn a bit One Direction or the other. These clips and that O-ring I believe are basically locking the gimbal so that the truck will only roll in a straight line.
- Yep, the same degree of articulation in the axles, that make them great for casual play, would only hold back the performance of these trucks on such an open and long course. The show wouldn't be as good with trucks drunkenly weebling their way side to side — Chris_Hood
We held Monster Truck drag racing Sunday on the 6 lane strip. Kids loved it. But when they saw 3D MT racing they went nuts. Parents offering up their kids MT jumps and ramp sets so we can get the track going.
Going to buy Slannan Custom 4 car start gate so we can set it up for 2 trucks..
Defiantly want those sway bars on there. Even on the track they wobbled a bit...
gonna be absolutely Nuts when it's done..
I don't have any of those but I do have a few Just Trucks! Todays race was great... I would have loved to send one in!
