A magnetic tip

If you happen to occasionally or even frequently drop tiny little things while you're working on tiny little cars this tip might come in handy. Sometimes I can find the things I dropped sometimes I cannot but what I discovered today by accident is if you have a magnet attached to your dustpan. You might find some interesting things. So yes, I have a metal dust pan and indeed there was a magnet that got stuck onto it and then as I was emptying it today I found three small screws and a couple of axles. I guess if you had a plastic dust pan, you could superglue a magnet to it. Go figure

Lol...I thought this might be a performance topic, still a good idea though!

Many years ago, some soapbox racers were caught installing magnets in the front tip of their cars. Apparently, the magnets were attracted to the metal starting bars which held each car at the starting gate. So when the bars dropped foward, the magnet gave the cars an extra push at the start.

  • Of course there is honor: you have to know the rules before you can begin breaking the rules. I'm sure 'magnets in the nose of the car' was not one people would have thought of doing. — SpyDude
