Article about HW racing fever in Puerto Rico

Hi!
Some months ago I found this article about the Hot Wheels racing phenomenon in Puerto Rico, and when I arrived to these forums I immediately remembered it. It was written in 1999 in the excellent "Tales of toy cars" webzine (*), here it is: http://www.breithaupts.com/totc106.htm

That's crazy. Thanks for the link.
I get a lot of South American viewers to my Hot Wheels photos on Flickr, wonder if it's the same type of deal way down south?
The #1 car on the list in that article, the Chevy Stocker, is one I have (thanks to a donation) and will be added to the Fantasy League sooner than later. Maybe I should just go down to PR and sell it on the streets! Ha!
There's a Funny Car in the stash too that has yet to be added.
Best line from that article, "...the hobby has created a vigorous aftermarket involving those cars that are winners on the racetrack." That's awesome. It's not just aftermarket for collecting cars you don't have in your collection, it's a market for SPEED!
