Yeah this is way off the track - way off. I've always enjoyed history in general and as an Air Force brat (my dad was a flight line guy) aviation has always been an interest. So I'll share a channel I've been watching that historically reinacts obscure air battles from WWI up through the early 2000's. They use an amazing flight simulator and everything is base on official records - pilot accounts from many sources. In general I'm surprised at the number of 'casual encounters' that occur between various nations Air Force's that result is a plane going down.

Cool... before I got into this hobby, I built R/C planes... for a very long time starting in 1980 when you could still build your own transmitter gear. Before that, as a kid, I flew bunches of control line kits and Cox prebuilts. My favorite planes were Japanese. The round cowls and acres of glass really got to me... anyway... this was one of my favorite and last builds. Ki-27.
