Beater trucks...
The subject came up the other day of one of my favorite types of vehicle...beater trucks!
Any interest out there for building some cool beater trucks? I'm thinking 57 grams, any wheels, usual sizes...and it has to be an older truck (maybe pre-1970) pickup...that LOOKS like an old truck!

It's actually pretty clean for a beater, but I think you get the idea :)

Nothing special...350 crate engine, little bit of cam, edelbrock performer intake...running through a Flowmaster exhaust system. ..

I didn't want to forget about this thread...I was just tinkering with the above F100, and got a little speed out of it.
Anyone else interested in running some trucks with a little 'character'? :)
hmmm... I'm thinkin' the yellow and black '40 /'41 pick up with big air cleaners as a beat to death gasser...

This race seems to be gaining a little momentum, but I'm not going to set any dates just yet...the CCC is wrapping up next weekend, the Sedan Shootout is starting, and then we have the Pony Wars and the Trans-Am race. Lots of racing, right around the corner!
But, let's stick with 57 grams, drilled rivets, any wheels; the usual sizes...any era truck, but it has had a rather hard life. Nothing new and shiny about these trucks! Except, maybe there wheels!
