Races will be Before Cars vs Before Cars and then After Cars vs After Cars in single elimination racing. There will also be a race or should I say a comparison of each Entrants Before and After Cars. This will be one Entrants Before and After Cars competing with each other. The winner will be the Entrant whose After Car beats his Before Car for the fastest speed difference or greatest time difference. Which ever system has the particular host has.

Scoring is one point per win in the single elimination racing .
3 points for a win in the comparison competition. 2 point of second place and 1 point for third place

These parts need some work. I am understanding you to mean each builder will race their cars against each other - so their would be a 2nd place, but not a 3rd place.

a 3rd / 4th requires an extra race between both bracket's semi losers.... I always forget to run that one...

No each Entrant races his cars against each other. the time or speed difference is recorded. When all the Entrants have raced then the team with the greatest difference in time or speed will win First Place. The team with the second best time or speed difference takes second place, third best of course takes third place. This placing for the comparison competition only. The races between Before Cars and the races between After Cars is a whole different thing. Each team gets points for wins in both the 2 races and the comparison competition. Highest score wins. The winner of the tournament is the one with the most total points after all venues are run.

This sounds like it could be really cool.

Will this be a team event where points of both your cars will be combined to show team standings OR do you want these two categories to be completely separate where we'd end up with two winners (Before and After)?

I like the idea of combining the points so the overall winner is the person who entered the two fastest cars.

YOU ANSWERED MY QUESTION IN THE ABOVE POST -PERFECT.

I'd be willing to keep points on this event if you're looking for someone to do that.

This will be a team effort using combined points but there will be awards for fastest individual cars. Only one champion though.

Yes I would like it if you ran the scoring.

Sorry Stroller, I'm still not decided on what to run yet. Is it OK if I do some testing n tuning before I say what I'm running?

Thanks for the update and I am with you on the rules update, but have a question still.

In the new section you say the biggest difference in time or speed is the 1st place winner in the comparison race portion, then 2nd and then 3rd.

But earlier you note that the "after" version haven beaten the "before" version establish the time/speed difference.

I too would expect that, but what happens if a before version ends up being a flyer and beats an after car? Would that time difference be acceptable in the speed/time comparison standings or would it count as a no time difference and be disqualified?

Well that's an interesting thought, but the idea of modifying a car is to make it better. So if your Before Car beats your After Car that would mean you would get zero points.......

so I should pick a car that is very slow stock, and then hop it up to get the biggest difference between the two ? ...
i'm clueless.

You could but this may not give you a chance to win the Before part of the tournament.... .......
