Brand New DRIFT or DIEcast Drag Strip
Finally finished the initial build that will be used for the "Fast Bash #1" Tournament coming up in October. The build is finished with the exceptional of the side posts that will keep the track together and straight. That'll be finished tomorrow, then comes the fun part, cosmetics and building the diorama behind the track. Been a long time coming building my first real drag track but finally pulled the trigger and went head first this weekend and got it done. Huge shout out to my amazing girlfriend for taking progress photos and helping when I needed an extra hand!

Great work so far!
To ease the transition between downhill and straight, I've seen people use those lego baseboards you can get at the dollar stores, then screw it to the end of the downhill. When you put it against the level section, the baseboard bends to make a natural curve onto the level track. The trick is to ONLY screw it underneath the downhill, so the part that sits level is actually floating to help absorb the shock of transitioning from one plane to another.
- I used washers that slide perfectly into the track grooves with counter sink screws to secure the area near the transition to secure the track to the board. I used this method in a previous iteration of a track I built and it worked very well. I'll also like your idea, I ran multiple funny cars on the track to test for bouncing/shifting at the transition and it held up strong so I think the transition area won't be a problem for heavier cars — DRIFT_or_DIEcast_Racing
- I use the washer/countersunk setup, too I have two tips, putting unsecured washers in the track gives it weight, and helps hold it down, and keeps it from moving lengthwise. also at the transition a strip of plastic or metal slid inside the track helps consistency lane v lane. - I am not sure if I have the ability to assign separate Podium and winners for each weight class that might be something that the site manager or administrators of the site have to do I will definitely post all of the results with video so everyone can see. How they are distributed amongst members profiles for Podium and finishes is something that might have to be administrated by the website managers — DRIFT_or_DIEcast_Racing
