Car for credits, free mainline cars
As part of the updates for 2013 as well as a general rethinking of some features, all the in-game credits will be reset to zero before the start of racing in the Spring. So between now and then all players should spend their credits unlocking cars OR you can cash in some credits to receive a free, random mainline car that I'll mail to you.

You need at least 8000 credits to cash-in for the free car. If you have less than that you should spend as many of your credits as you can on unlocking cars. There are quite a few cars available to unlock and to help I took their price all down 25% so hopefully you'll all be able to unlock one or two.

None of the cars you unlock now or have in the past will be reset or go away, I'm just resetting credits as I work to figure out better payout and prices for items, as well as add new credit-based features. This way everyone starts out equal when things change.
If you have any questions, post or send mail. I'm going to try to send out free cars every weekend as I receive submissions, so please allow a few weeks for delivery. The cars being sent are carded mainline cars from my collection.

The bug with unlocking cars should be fixed. Someone reported that after the update, sorry for the trouble. You should be able to unlock cars properly now. Won't hurt for you to log out of the fantasy league and then back in, just in case.
The garage cars you unlock WILL NOT be cleared out at all. And yes, there are a lot of players sitting on cars but in many ways you can't always enter a car because garage cars are still subject to tournament classes and other criteria. So there is a chance that a car you have doesn't qualify. And if you're slow to enter then some people just miss the window. We should come up with a way that either limits the garage size (easy) or some sort of expiration period to use an unlocked car (hard).

I have received a few submissions for the free cars and I will be mailing those out this weekend, so heads up.
Reminder and notice to use as many credits as you can before Feb. 2 as that weekend I will be resetting credits and preparing stuff for Season 12. Expect Fantasy League downtime throughout February. The message boards should be unaffected.

Don't think the prices were reduced properly... I have 2900 and it says I dont have enough credits to unlock a car which is 2250 credits.
Are the garages going to be cleaned out before the next season? I feel like there are a bunch of people who are just sitting on cars. Including me, tournaments are usually full before I get a chance to pick cars so i've been sitting on two of them in my garage for a long time now.
