Channelled hot rods '34 cpe. base

The '34 coupe base is a great start for many body swaps, the lakes pipes supports make a good surface to let the new body sit on... but they are in the way for a channeled car...

'34 coupe body, converted to 5 window and hood hole hogged for 3 deuces ;

Rear tank cover trimmed for channeling ;

The bases, sanded flush with the rear axle flange/ backing plates tapering inward to the front frame "rails", I enlarged the pin holes to let the body settle over the frame ;

Fenders removed before modds ;

hot rod coupe, bumper guards sanded off to look less like a '33/'34 ford, for more of a hot rod look ;

Modded [channeller] tailpan ;

a little filing on a dual quad RABB mill and we are starting to set that look ;

Rockin' the Rabb ;

the RABB dual quad sands great, sanded a channel for the '34's front pin, angle cut a paper match, spayed silver / chome paint into a coated paper plate, dip the cut end of the match into the paint, use it as a mini paint brush, the pointed end lets you get into tight places with the paint ;

chrome air cleaners, carbs, intake and headers ;

mock up ;

Didn't have a loose '34 grill, drilled out a MOC #34 greenish one.... couldn't force myself to cut the grill off... so I cut the blower off and glued on a '55 gasser's dual quad induction ;

Rear bumper removed, the edge filed to resemble a spreader bar ;

Hot rod mock up ;
