Cops and Robbers..CRIME SPREE
I'll race and host! Sinisterdog probably will, too. Also, I would say double-elimination--just my opinion.
It would also be interesting to have a race with all the robbers--maybe a grand fanale for the final host?...
When will this series start? Also, does Spiderman count as a cop?
I might send the Ford GT from Middleweight I as a robber...partly because I have one a heck of a lot like it on Need For Speed that's been in PLENTY of severe cop chases!
Uh.. Spiderman is not a cop. More of a vigilante.
Ford GT is fine.
To be honest I'm not even sure how a double elimination race would work. I'm asking other entrants to speak up on whether they would like a double elimination tournament.....
I don't see any red / blue lights /headgear on the "cop rods"... is adding a rhinestone redlight on the roof and a mini Harley Davidson badge as a police symbol on the black n white's doors cool ? [if cool I have a few extras]
.
.....front half '64 nova wagon, back half '58 T bird... bound for the Iowa customs for kids race .
Double elims seem to be fine when you don't have too many cars and have close to even [16/32] car brackets...
.
I.M.O. the # of entries will make the double elims decision for you...
.
Depending on how many cars, single or double elims for cops & robbers....
Maybe take the top [4] from each bracket, run eliminations to get your winner and runner-up, then [5] extra races -
-semi losers = 3-4,[then quarter losers to get 5 vs.6 and 7 vs.8], then the 5 vs.6 W vs 7 vs.8 W and 5 vs.6 L vs.7 vs.8 L to determine the placing #1 to #8...
There is a printable bracket for this....
Really cool would be to have the race placement determine the top [8] #s for the next race... #1 gets #1, #2 gets #2, etc.
... again I.M.O.
We're good at setting up double-eliminations for eight and beyond, but it may be different from a normal bracket. We get pretty specific, too--even through numbers like 64. I can try explaining it if you want.
I'll have to apply some decals for a PC...I don't have that many fast ones, but I should be able to rip some lights off a slow one. And I may also consider sending in a Clue suspect for a Robber.
Hey Smitty That Looks Like A Pretty Good Cop Car TO me.
red '64 galaxie, a test fit for my "interceptor's" door skins,
.
this test dummy has got fire chief written all over it !
.
.red rhinestone "bubblegum machine" on the roof;
the blank [white] section of the mini sponsor stickers, cut to size as white door skins and Harley Davidson emblems as the town's crest.
Yes it is VERY fire chief... Nice though
I've never seen a convertible police car, but I have seen a Ford GT500 Cobra Mustang that was a cop car over in Oregon. It was taken in a drug bust. So the convertible vette is in. The charger as a bad guy , why not.
I'm in on this one too. I'm gonna do a Smokey and the Bandit theme!
Just more to chew on.
No lights on this Hottie ! Chute either. lol, How bout, Gotta be a cop car. Some of today's cars don't have the lights on top, there located at the top of the windshield. I suggest nix the lights rule. I like the lights but it will open up what cars can be used. I'd like to see what everyone comes up with. Maybe more entries too.
I'm in for racing but I'll have to pass on hosting.
