Mine hit the PO this morning. Should be there Monday. 

Cars are done and headed for the post office Monday.

Uh oh! I dropped the ball, but I should be able to get them out Tuesday.

I've dropped it as well. The axles of both of my cars are being modified with FTE axles.

Now, I've dropped even more than the ball. My car broke down today so I wasn't able to get some copper tubes. Are there any alternatives?

Sure, after removing the old axle drill a 1/16" hole beneath the center of the axle to be replaced,

 drill through the prong area, countersink the under side,

 mix a BB size ball of JB Quick, press some up through the hole, place the rest on top of the hole, carefully press the FTE axle into the JB , spin it slightly to cover the axle's center,

 shim the wheels out from the "backing plates" with cardstock, after about 3 minutes as the JB sets up test roll upside down, if it needs alignment push a safety pin into the hardening JB forward of the axle to move it back and behind the axle to move it forward , test roll u/d,

  the JB Quick will set up to be a rivet that will anchor the axle to the base...

Cars are in the mail headed for the track!!

The only difference between this one and Goldenrod I is that this is a Jet Threat and its driver is not drunk on eggnog. At first, I thought the car would have to be completely repainted after I noticed the roughness of the repaint texture, but it actually looks like a Jet Threat that's been layered with gold leaf.

Goldenrod II doesn't seem ready for this race. I'll save it for the 2016 Pro Series.

My fleet will be composed of a Jack Rabbit Special, a Demon, and/or a Heavy Chevy. I always thought the Jack Rabbit would make a good French or German police cruiser since it looks like a Volkswagen.
