D64 Gaslands Race

This race is inspired by the role-playing game Gaslands. If you don't know about you should definitely check it out. Think Dungeons and Dragons with post-apocalyptic Hot Wheels cars. https://gaslands.com/

In Gaslands, Earth is under Martian occupation. The war left much of Earth destroyed and its population enslaved by the corporations of Mars. Earth is a ghetto. All money goes to Mars. The internet is gone, but television continues under the global control of The Network. The jewel in The Network's crown is Gaslands: broadcasting amateur and profesional death races from across the world as teams battle for a place in the prime-time international final.

Racers should try to make their cars look like Post-Apocalyptic death race cars. So what does that mean? At the very least cars need to have some kind of weapon. It could be spikes, guns, rocket launchers, or something of the like. The weapon is the only real requirement, however using parts from multiple cars, making them look old/dirty/rusty, banged up, etc. is encouraged.

For some inspiration you can check out the Gaslands Facebook group pictures: https://www.facebook.com/groups/gaslands/photos/

or do a Google image search for "Gasland cars".

Nice. This is the sort of racing I'm planning at the canyon as well, in the not too distant future.

Would love to get involved but not sure with the state of shipping at the moment if I could get a car there on time.

  • Hey CC, I know from Aus, posting to the US is very flakey atm. I just had one to CA arrive on Friday, took 1 mth. I had also sent one to CA a week before that one... And "It's on it's way" no idea where it's at. Very frustrating. Cheers mate. — CutRock_R_Marc_D

I see you have a max weight, is there a minimum weight? I actually have a vehicle already but it's very light.

  • No minimum weight. As long as it's under the max you're good. :) — Diecast64
