I'll actually be gone this weekend so I won't be picking up any cars from the PO until at least Tuesday. I'll post entry previews next week.

Got entries at the PO today. Haven't taken inventory yet, only 3 boxes so this will be a small tourney but should be good. I'll be posting preview photos soon and then race hopefully this weekend. Thanks!
Added entry previews to the top post. A shallow pool but these cars seem ready to roll...they would barely stay still for photos! 2Seven's flame van is pretty sweet looking, using that water transfer method he has seemed to have perfected.
McJiggles' government-style entries look pretty mean...and I didn't even know that there was a Dodge Caravan casting...vans are always good for loading up with weight. And while it might not be the prettiest car in the grid, Clifford's dune buggy thing might be the dark horse in this bracket, I just have a feeling about that one.
I'll be running the cars Saturday night with results and highlights probably Sunday.

In light of there being only 7 cars running, I decided to turn this into a double elimination tournament. Figured it won't hurt and lets these cars get a few extra runs.
And despite there being only a few cars, this was some of the closest racing the (new) Redline Derby home track has seen. All the cars were nicely crafted and turned out to be fairly even...except one.
CCrider's Way 2 Fast got whooped bad in the first round facing McJiggles' Caravan, it was odd. I checked out Rider's car and found that the fat FTE2 wheels hub caps had the tendency rub the sidewall of the track. I checked both lanes and got the same results...and of course since the orange track isn't exactly consistent over the 15+ feet, it rub, then not rub, then rub...etc. So CCRider probably didn't get a fair shake but that's racing. Although good note for future mods...file down the hub caps of the FTE2 wheels, it can't hurt.
Back to the action...right out of the gate things were close. McJiggles' Chevelle versus 2Seven's flame van of doom was neck and neck, going all 3 heats. The van managed to squeak out a win but these two would meet again.
Clifford's dune buggy got the bye so he was waiting and watching as 2Seven's Roadster edged out Clifford's other entry, the golden Gasser. The Gasser showed some impressive speed but the Roadster laid a run that we would see repeated through the final.
By the semifinals, 2Seven was racing himself, with the Roadster going to the finals and waiting for the King of the Losers.
The lower bracket was pretty much a family affair as it was saw Clifford Shaw and McJiggles race themselves and then race each other. It came down to McJiggles' Chevelle and the Gasser with the matte black Chevelle moving on to face 2Seven's Flaming Van. It was a rematch from Round 1 and this time revenge was served as the Chevelle edged out the Van. McJiggles' earned himself another chance while 2Seven's Roadster awaited one more challenge.
And while it was a pretty close match, the Roadster just couldn't be beat, sending the Chevelle back to Connecticut. So once again 2Seven takes home the gold in a monthly RLD tournament. Great job, Matt! I'd keep that mod and enter it again when you can.

Thank you Brian for hosting the race and for the great recap as always! Congrats to ccrider for the victory. Looks like I need to step up my game!
Okay, totally failed on returning cars...totally forgot, actually. Just got busy, sorry, y'all. I'll package up the cars and get them out this week as soon as I can.
Cars were shipped out this morning, look for them within the next week.
Since I postponed the August race, I extended this deadline a week until Monday, July 13. Not much gets done over holidays anyway...
