Did some testing on my 25' track last night...

In responce to the FTE vs. NON-FTE challenges, I've been putting together some of my fastests cars in order to test out the theories on my 50' track. So last night I had some time to play.

Started with my FTE's, not pictured, and got my 6 fastest ones that I've opened.
Chrysler 300, Ferrari 430, Ferrari 458, Honda Sprocket, 69 Corvette, Shelby concept GR-1

Then I moved onto my Ferrari collection, I had a few new once I hadn't raced yet and my yellow F40 is the fastest car I have.
So I raced one side of the jammers case and came up with these...

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

456M and the F50 spider being the fastest of the bunch

Then I moved to the flip side of the case and got these

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Then I raced those and ended up with a 3 way tie for the fastest Ferrari...Yellow 308, Red Testarossa and the yellow F40.
They all went 4 rounds with each other each winning 2 rounds as I switched lanes. The runners up were the red F40, 456M and F50. And yes, they are all metal/metal cars.

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Then I got to racing some of my mainline cars, I only picked about 20 cars I knew were decent to fast and came up with this group. And what a difference a car makes. I have two versions of the 70's Mustang Funny car, both purple too...the one pictured beats the other by 5 car lengths! I think it's my heaviest non-modified car at 73g!

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Ran out of time to do any comparison between the mainlines, Ferrari's and the FTE's but I have a feeling the all metal cars might give the FTE's a run for their gold wheels!

I hope to have some time to set up the 50' track at my shop and do some testing there...stay tuned!

Yeah... I had that feeling too. The feeling slipped away quickly after the first few FTE's snagged easy wins.

Yup, FTE's only help models compared to that same specific
model without FTE's.

I'm not so sure that is true.

It seems to me, from viewing others test results, and doing my own testing that the FTE cars are faster in general. At some point when the non FTE cars gets heavier, the heavier car will win. (different models).

Good job with the racing and photos Bryan. It was anti climatic! I was waiting for the big showdown. You left us with a cliffhanger. Looking forward to the final results.

That's a nice bunch of Ferraris' too.
