Diecast Racing News
From my previous post regarding filling in time until I can get the track sorted, I am going to use my past experience within motor racing press and journalism and report on diecast racing news.
It will take a while to pick up momentum but so far I have created the necessary You Tube Channel for the news items, planning on a weekly show.
To help me identify those leagues and tournaments I am not familiar with (but will get familiar with) I have created a handy form which is for my use only and there is a promo for the new Diecast Racing News Channel. There will also be a blog for written articles.
Form: League/Tournament Directory
You Tube Channel Promo: Diecast Racing News
Substack Blog: Diecast Racing News
I will also have a "News Submission" document which I am working on in case anybody wants to submit features or you may be working on a new track or car design etc. That is to come.
I hope to cover many of your leagues and hopefully get to interview a few of you over the course of time.
Work in progress but I hope this is going to be a fun addition, and keeps me occupied within the diecast racing community whilst I work on the track stuff for The Gauntlet Series.

Got a couple of logos created for two segments already.

Cool idea.
Hope you're successful in your adventure.
Cheers!
I wish you well on your venture!
There have been a few who have attempted to produce a version of a "News" for Diecast...the most successful was the boys from Chaos Canyon...there was a dude from out Weat who had a pretty complex setup that lasted like a month...and then Marcus Firegone does his thing with his channel every once and a while...I wish you the best of luck as it's a lot of work... it the few of us who will watch it appreciate it so much...
- Hi Crazy_Canuck, yes I did look at the Chaos Canyon videos and been in contact with some really helpful hints and tips. I'm hoping it will be fun and as you say will be hard work, but something I enjoy. It keeps me occupied in the community whilst I wait for the track. And any views once episodes go up will always be appreciated. — DiecastRacingNews
I have had a few people reach out or fill in the form, hopefully once it gains traction some more well known tournaments/leagues will also be up for allowing permission on a few snippets to be used in the reports, but that will be over time and baby-steps to begin with.
- Remember to be neutral.....I'm one of the people that contacted you and in above text you are hopefully more well known tournaments/leagues get on board. I know exactly what you mean (I'm not a big shot host) but ........ — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
- Oh 100%, really appreciating the messages I have received. In my haste of cooking dinner I did word that slightly wrong. :) — DiecastRacingNews
- No problem. I'm not offended and I know exactly what you mean/meant. — Dutch_Clutch_Racing
- Fantastic. I am also trying to steer away from the current shenanigans developing on the other posts :) — DiecastRacingNews
This sounds cool! I typically do a video a week. I can pull up the current stats for everybody if you want! Not making the google sheet public though as it will spoil the next races, the Coca Cola 600
- Sounds a really great idea. Thank you. Lots of help and assistance on here, really grateful. — DiecastRacingNews
