Not sure what's out there but finding a picture of a garage to print big and glue on the walls might be cool. Would kind of depend on the perspective but something to fiddle with maybe.

I think having a asphalt colored bottom would be nifty, add some tire marks and stains and stuff...would look more like a active shop.

Can't wait to see where it goes. I should try a diorama too...just worried I'd spend too much time with it, ha!

short, 3/8" tall sections of blue painted mc donalds straws make great trash cans... small strips of .023" stainless welding wire cut into 1/16" long chunks look like coors lite cans [painted red= coke, blue = pepsi] in the top of the returnables bin... red painted fly fishing line looks like air hose... cheap jewlery chain for your chainfall with a rod through bowtie motor hanging from it...

Thanks everyone I'm going to star the hunt for all those things. It's much appreciated!

I'd hit up Pinterest too and search for scale models or something, I'm sure there are tons of ideas like Smittys where you take everyday things, give em some paint and they turn out looking good.

My mom made a bunch of dollhouse furniture for my daughter out of bottle caps and tupperware lids, quite awesome and they look great (plus the kid can't tell).
