In preliminary testing of 12 cars, the 2 fastest were the Honda Civic and the Aston Martin DBS......I guess I will see if I chose wisely. Of course nothing is written in stone yet.

as long as it's european clearing the mud before hand.

Well that's 8 entries...but if more people want to join I'm cool with that...just not sure how to run the tournament with an odd number of entrants and/or cars. What do you guys normally do for that type of situation?

Lets say 10 people enter, each provide 2 cars for 20 total. How do you choose who's extra cars make up the last 6 slots?

Go to this site: http://www.printyourbrackets.com/

You can make up any size bracket you want for single or double elimination. I used it for 17 entries it worked well and no byes.

Okay, well, I think understand how this crazy bracket works...I'll give it a shot a least.

So I'll remove the entry limit but change requires to send only 1 car instead of 2. Less for everyone to worry about and ship.

Entry will be open until next Wednesday, 8/28. We'll close entries then and see how many people have signed up. I'll then post the bracket structure based on what the bracket site spits out.

...clearing the mud before hand.

Yes, Everlings is correct that the Honda wouldn't qualify for this race. European cars only, nothing from Asia. So no Honda, Mitsubishi, Toyota, etc.

And the must be real world Euro cars, no Fantasy class cars that "look" European.

Oh now I see Japan is not in Europe.....

I'm thinking this may be my entry. If it doesn't go to the "Born" tournament.
Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox
Not sure it's over 50 grams though.

I'd like to participate too....(Borrowed Image)

1984 HW 'Quik Trik' from the original Ultra Hots line-up(51.5g stock). Its basically a renamed Ferrari 308. My example is a Hong Kong version and has the thinner gauge axles which were standard on early UH vehicles. It met my expectations with some preliminary track tests...a bit more 'tuning' and its goin' to Ohio.

Hmmm...well, I was hoping to keep this to cars that are actually stamped with European car names. Yes, we all see this is based on a Ferrari but technically that car is "Quik Trik" which would be classified as a Fantasy car since it's not truly a Ferrari.

I was trying to avoid this because then it opens up a bunch of "well that car looks like a Jaguar" type stuff. Fair enough?

Cars need to be named real world cars, not cars "inspired by" real world cars. When it doubt, check the bottom of the car.

Fair enough....I certainly have something else that will officially conform to the rules.

It has a Hot Wheel-given name, and it isn't painted like a real-world car, but isn't it still a Ferrari 308?
