Scrap Dealer's Bargain Turns out to Be Faberge Egg

LONDON March 19, 2014

There is good luck, outrageous good fortune — and now there is the case of the scrap metal dealer who found one of the eight missing Faberge imperial eggs at a flea market in the American Midwest.

This isnt the same egg that was just found, but an interesting tidbit...it is more of a Matchbox than a Hot Wheels, since it comes with its own box!

QUOTE=ApexOversteer;1146459]I want The 1897 Imperial Coronation Egg, the greatest of all the Imperial Eggs. It holds within what might be the world's first "Hot Wheels"...

Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

The carriage is a replica of the one that took the Tsarina to her Coronation in 1896. The tires are platinum, the windows are shaved crystal and the whole thing is encrusted with diamonds.

I'd buy the most shockingly rare Hot Wheels ever produced, for my collection
