Faster FTEs
We had two FTE Javelins on the track last weekend and they both performed horribly. It might be better suited as a short track car. No 370s. The Retro Actives did well but didn't run away with the show. They are fast though. I have to say that the only real surprise on the track this weekend was that damn Lumina, lol.
I'm actually one of the players who suggested the Lumina be included among the 'Stars', but I had no idea it would perform that well. I didn't even pick it to win it's first bracket
Neither did I, lol.
The Javelin is cookin on my track even though it had a bum wheel out of the box...
That Italia FTE... holy crap. Beat all my cars by at least a car length and even the Triumph FTE by one two which also beat my entire collection.
I am going to need to invest in some of these FTE wheels... yes... yes I am.

If you think those are fast, you need to find a JL black with flames 69 Camaro, lol. Those things are sick!

I have read different things on this car and its on my to find list up in Dyersville--but Im not sure what the car looks like. Do you know of a photo of this car?
is this it?
That's it and I can testify to the speed of that car...at least on the 50-foot track. It was unbelievable, really. However, I personally think it was something about that particular car that Jason had. He had a couple other Camaros of the same model and they got blown away by this specific one. Not to say it's not a fast car on it's own, but I think that one just has some perfect balance built in...good wheels, good weight...just right.
I have never sacrificed one to really check it out. The first one I had was our track champion for well over 3 years. I figured with all of the club meets and conventions the car had at least 100 competition races per year. Track lengths ranged from 35 to 50'. It lost maybe four races in that time. None of which were by more then a fender.
That car was stolen at the Chicago Autorama earler this year.
I have picked up a couple of new cars and one is a little bit faster then the other, but they are still within a length at the finish. The new car is looking very promising. It took 1st place in Nashville in it's class, but the more impressive feat was when I raced it against the S'Cool bus that won the redline class and it won that race. It wasn't an easy race by any means but it was enough for a solid win (in both lanes)
The slower car also raced the S'Cool bus and was only beat by a fender. so even if the slow car shows up to a race, you'll still have to bring a pretty badass car to take it out.
That camaro definitely sounds like a serious car. That totally sucks that someone stole it though. Now how lame is that?
Darn, I guess I took too long to mail in the one I got. I'll see if I come across a different fast car to mail-in instead. If yours doesn't run straight though, let me know and I'll send you the one I found.
