to add weight to the racer some builders use fishing weights... just tried it... use needlenose plyers a hammer and a chunk of steel or even concrete, smash the weights into rectangles.... easier to fit or to saw into sections that are the weight you want .... works for me ;Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Smaller weights smashed flat can be very easily cut with wire cutters to fit in small places. There are some wire cutters out there that electrical technicians use, that will fit in tight places to cut away plastic to make room for weights.

Has there been any back to back testing to see what the difference is between a stock cars speed vs a modded car with weights added?

Preacher, you should be keeping up with the different racing series here at redlinederby.
In gravity racing weight=horsepower! (to a certain extent )

The lead fishing weights can be found in the sporting goods section at Walmart. It is available in all sorts of shapes and sizes. I bought a double handful again yesterday!
