Good evening all,

I reached out to 2 discords, Junk Yard Joust, and a private one

Dutch Clutch, And Al (Alvaspped Co.) sent me cars without asking

On a private discord, a dear friend offered to join, too

I built him Jeep n Stein because he sent me a group of cars,

all others are friends from various places.

I have done the tech in (details incoming)

All cars were checked for wheelbase, total weight, and % balance

I'll post details later.

Goat Hill starts it's first round of shakedown.

rules for finals are "up in the air" (yes, pun very much intended)

I'd like people to weigh in on final rules, as these will be set in stone (or liteally pink foam...lol)

this is a points system and honestly, have do idea how to sort/cut off the semis/finals yet

I think this is the only Hill Climb track, currently

this race is to sort out and define rules, and give builders feedback, too

That All Said

Welcome your first starters at Goat Hill

we race VERY soon

Kudo's for a great job. Plus you've got a great bunch of test drivers. Looks like its time to - Go for the Goat.

Looking good! I will enter the rip n race you mentioned!

Always happy to contribute to the discussion! Cheers

Good evening all,

Been doing "camera angles" and test launches with test cars.

Love my starting trigger/spring launcher, but because the track weighs less than 20 lbs,

and is supported with pink foam,

about every 4-6th launch I pull too hard, hit the stop and ruin the race and the footage,

because the track goes bouncy bouncy.   To solve that today, I bought this:

A manual servo control.  I have played with R/C for 30 years and have a box of servos

Chaos Canyons behind the scenes sent me on the quest,

and because "Support Local Stores"  Randy's in Houston off 249 had one,

So I install it tomorrow, and hopefully solve the bouncy bounce

either way we start racing tomorrow

(at least filming

  • You did a good job, that really tricks the eye. — alva1370
  • That is some extra special ‘chit right there. You had a vision and then executed on it - excellent. Great camera angles too. Looking forward to slinging a truck or something up a hill. — AbbyNormal
