Gotham City Grand Prix - FULL

Riddle me this, Diecast Racers: Which Batmobile is the fastest?! Modify your favorite Batmobile casting and come race with us. Entries limited to 16 cars. Wayne International Speedway is a short track with two crash racer turns. This event will be recorded with videos posted online.

One entry per person 
All entries must be some kind of Batmobile casting

50g Max weight
Mainline wheels and axles only, No FTE
Dry lube only
Vehicles must be repainted or marked in a unique way to distinguish them from other entries

Seeding will be random
Cars will race in a head to head bracket

Entries must be received by November 15

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 50g maximum weight
• Batmobiles must fit into standard Hot Wheels orange track
• Limit 1 entries per person
• Retail axles and wheels only
• Dry lube only
• Batmobile Castings Only

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Monday, 11/15/2021. Racing is scheduled for Monday, 11/22/2021. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $5.00 for return shipping if you want your entries back.  You can also Venmo or Paypal me after the race to help pay for return S&H.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Track

Here is a link to a previous stock race we put together as a fund raiser for the Fire Department and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.  It will give you an idea of the track set up and what to expect as far as video production.

Race format and scoring

This will be a single-elimination tournament. Cars will matchup head to head, with each car starting once from each of the 2 starting lanes. Winning cars earn 3 points, losing cars earn 1 point. A DNF gets 0 points. In the event of a points tie after 2 races, the cars will compete in a tie-breaker race with the higher seeded car starting from lane 1.

Winning cars advance through the bracket, losing cars are out.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins.

Prizes

TBD...probably a TH casting, definitely tons of glory, maybe an autographed photo of Adam West.
