Hatchback and Rally 2

The second coming of the Hatchback and Rally car Tournament!!! If it’s in Rally it’s legal, trucks car’s, SUV’s…. Or if you have a question post a picture in comments…(Must be a real Vehicle, No Fantasy) Just please no knobby tires….

Rules & restrictions

Please Read All Details!!!

• Modified entries only
• 45-65g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Any Lubricant allowed
• 2 car teams with one alternate that will only be entered if another car breaks. No swapping just because. (Multiple Teams per Home Allowed)
• Custom/ or at least matching paint colors.
• Claim your numbers for each car.
• Team name on cars(If specific Driver names please put somewhere on car) Bottom counts.
• Decals also a Bonus!!!(BTW there will be a best in show competition with some sort of Prize) could be an actual prize or maybe a race advantage… who knows…
• $7 Entry Fee per team.
• No limit on Team Entries.

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Saturday, 1/15/2027. Racing is scheduled for Saturday, 1/16/2027. Race may start later if YOU'RE MUSCLES ARE JUST A FANTASY tournament has not concluded. Results will be posted the day AFTER the race Finals Conclude.

How to enter

Contact the tournament host to get the shipping address for entry.

Include at least $10.00 unless out of US then no return Shipping unless you win…. for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be used in future events.

Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry

Track

Will be the current track setup but the jump will be added back to the track. Maybe even more…..

Race format and scoring

Time Trial will be run. To determine bracket pairings. Looking to make either a 32 or 64 car bracket. If less than 64 entries than field will be cut to 32 based on Time Trials.

Currently hoping to be able to run 4 cars at a time in the 5,4,3,1 point system with rotating placement each lap and top two drivers moving on, but if I can’t get the cars to run consistently then regular 1 V 1 Format. Also this is a single Elimination tournament. If you lose at any time that car is eliminated until you win it all or lose your second car.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

Bracket seeding will be random.

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales. Teams that do not pay Entry fee can still enter but will not be eligible for prizes.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will not race.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
