Heavy Haulers and Underclassman Post Race

I wanted to give a post race review of the races on the Triple C Short Track. With the starting gate just one foot of the ground and needing to make it 14 feet, the heaviest cars don't always win. You want a good rolling car instead. It seemed the %s showed people picking the heavier cars to win it all.

Heavy Haulers
The Flashrider was the favorite going in and was fresh out of the package. He came oh so close to losing it in the first round to the Bedlam truck, who was pretty quick. I put a stop shot of that final race in the video, to see how close it was. That race could have really messed up the picks right there. The Customized C3500 was fresh out of the package as well and stunk it up. I have never found one of these trucks that can perform on the race track. The Tow Jam was also out of the package and looked fast. The Flash Rider was moving through the brackets, even easily beating a very strong Custom 69 Chevy to get to the final race. At the bottom of the bracket the Shell Shock almost pulled a huge upset by taking the Off Track FTE to three races before falling. The Diesel Duty surprised as well against the Tow Jam and then took down the famed Rescue Ranger. Except this just wasn't my fastest Rescue Ranger. That one has been garaged until November for our league races. Check back then! Off Track and Flash Rider had a final that you would hope for with both races being so very, very close.

Underclassman-
It was good to see some new cars that had never seen the track before. The Camaro IROCz was new out of the package. The Ferrari California, Anglia 105E, and the Corevette were seeing the track for the first time. Some cars that had proven themselves before on this track were selected by the racers. The standouts were the Shelby Super Snake, Myers Manx, Chaparral 2, 65 Mustang Convertible, the Amazoom and the Firebird were all entered. The biggest surprise was the Camaro IRCOz. It was a fast car and was able to keep up with the Shelby Super Snake before falling there. The Shelby Super Snake had close races along the way until it got to the final race. The Amazoom entered is just a beast for us, and easily beat everyone with the Chaparal 2 being the closest and still then it wasn't close.

Unfortuntaltey the Underclassman class really threw a wrench in things for people's picks. However, my seven year old son was stoked to see his car, Amazoom, win it all and then see himself take the lead in the standings.
