Higher IQ Walmart?

Fully 95% of the desirable real cars were in this bin, not the aisle nor the endcap. Employees looking to discourage those who demand pristine cards? Mostly 2024 Q Case.

Well put, finding certain cars can be impossible sometimes. A dinged up card is no big deal to me.

  • I'm not real concerned with the cards condition either - what I don't like is being looked down on because of my age (54) and Walmart employees have told me that I'm just a re-seller on eBay. (I have never sold a car on ebay). — Dutch_Clutch_Racing

I hate looking through these stupid bins! I'm 59 but I've never had anyone looking down on me assuming I'm a seller. I don't sell or collect, I'm mainly a customizer. Walmart employees do a whole lot of projecting... they are the ones who snag the new releases from the cases and put them on ebay for $20.

  • I'll dive into a dump dive bin from atop the Voltron shelf and get digging. If anybody can identify me from my Pro Keds sticking out of the bin I would be flattered. — LobotomyScam

If you;'re not looking in the bin, you ain't finding the good stuff.

What is the problem with collecting carded cars? Can't we collect both? I don't undertand your point.

  • no problem collecting carded, I do, it was about the fact the cards get destroyed in the bins. — dr_dodge
  • We can all collect how we best enjoy, be it "Carded" or "Freedom." The thrust of my post was that I found it noteworthy that the hottest castings were merchandised this way. There appears in the retail space an increasing friction between employees and adult collectors: one only has to visit the Reddit communities of those stores for evidence of that. What I saw here seemed to be some response to collectors' behaviour; I could be mistaken — Chris_Hood
