Homemade Putty
I was reading the rules for a race that already occurred and in the rules the race host stated no tungsten putty. I asked why and the replies spoke about how tungsten putty can melt and gum up your wheels.
This lead to me researching alternatives and there are other types of putty commercially available that have a higher temperature threshold to keep them from doing what tungsten putty does. One suggestion I came across said tungsten powder can be kneaded into these putties so I'm curious if other people have taken this route and make their own tungsten infused putty?

For those who have used putty, have you tried some sort of containment barriers like plastic wrap? Only seems to ooze if its over a longer time waiting to race.
Unless the interior forced using putty to reach a desired weight, it seems solids and tapes are the better method. Cutting and using hard shapes sounds like more work, but less likely to foul your car.
I did pick up some tungsten powder and chips to play around with this but it is low on my list of to-do's as there are lots of other viable methods currently. But When I do try it, I will use my favorite two part epoxy clay...
