Years ago, I took the kids to the houston mopar show,
I alway went in the pits (for the schwag bag)
well drag racing, show, or vendor was free
I ended up drag racing the Chrysler LHS we had at the time.
(daughter told on my to mrs, she shook her head)
Next year, drag raced the (new) 2001 intrepid (after "no honey I won't do that again".)
This time briefed/bribbed the kids on the way home.
but,...I failed to think about one thing
the first pass was a 22+, boo, second, 19.5, hey it's getting better..
every pass the car learned to go faster till it was running solid 16's
lost in 2nd round elims. wash the numbers off. we are cool.
mrs won't know
get home, mrs need to run to the quick shop,
gets back, she walks in, I get "that look" and she says
"You taught my car to drag race!!! Fix It Now!!! NOW!!!!!!"
the kids start laughing, they always liked it when I was in trouble
I go out and reset the computer,
Daughter walks up and says "you should have bribbed the car, too, dad"
