Racing in your own race

In short, I wouldn't recommend racing in your own race, especially if it's a mail-in race. If you're just racing with friends locally, whatever, but it's better just to keep things clean and avoid any drama.

I won't race in a race I am hosting.

Mabey as a special chalenge after the race, something like a Final Boss, but not for the hosted race itself.

The Bummer is when Entries don't show up for a Race. ???? Then its a Quandry to figure out the Racing Grid. I've had to put in my own cars to even it up, First time they were straight out of the Package and not Fair to any other Driver not going up against said cars.

My answer is I don't unless absolutly necessary, Sardines Race I've had to put in three. Sad Day when Teams don't show up, But you go with ( O.A.A.O ) Rule of my life. Observe, Acess, Adapt, Overcome.

I thought about this. If it's all of my own, of course. I wouldn't open it up to the public. It would be more of which food trucks will get the best spot by the beach and so on. Introducing characters and racers and hopefully getting more time to enter races once I can get some free time.

I put my own cars in my series last season, although part of that problem was because some of the entries never showed up. Lots of people are better builders than I am anyway, and my cars went 1-for-24 with 0 top five points finishes. I wouldn't credit myself in the RedlineDerby standings if somehow one of them did get into the Top 5. 

Simple, don't do it. People charging money to race and increased shipping costs and then winning their own race is bad business

I would absolutely not race for myself in a race I'm hosting.  I did have to add some house cars to NTK to fill in for No Shows, but they were strickly non competitive Stock field fillers in a Modified race.  

I was eliminated in round 1 by a host racing in his own event. Needless to say, I won't be sending cars there again.

I think that a host has an unfair advantage in that they know their tracks better than anyone else. No two tracks are alike, and being able to test and build a mod specifically for their own track isn't something I feel comfortable with. Fair play is fair play, and that isn't. Now, if a host wants to run in the first round without moving on, I'm kinda ok with that, but grudgingly. It's appears that they're showing off to the detriment of slower builders. Filling a bracket? Fine, just make sure that the cars are slower than all of the entrants cars. Bye runs are an option for the fastest in qualifying, but if there's no qualifying, keep the fill in cars slow. Just my two cents. Well, ten cents since I'm a bit wordy. ;)
