HOT WHEELS TO DRAG TRACKS N' VISA-VERSA

model40fan Sunday, 1/6/2013

I CUT [1] TRACK SECTION OF DRAG TRACKS IN HALF, WITH A HACKSAW AND FILE I MADE A HOT WHEELS ONTO DRAG TRACKS ADAPTOR TRACK SECTION..."ONTO" BECAUSE THE HOT WHEELS TRACK LAYS ATOP THE DRAG TRACKS [1/32" DROP OFF...]
THE OTHER HALF BECAME DRAG TRACKS TO HOT WHEELS [NO-DROP OFF]...
WITH NEEDLENOSE PLYERS I TWISTED OFF ONLY THE WEBBING FROM UNDERNEATH THE TRACK THAT INTERFERES WITH THE HOT WHEELS CONNECTORS THAT I WILL ATTATCH WITH A SMALL [ 4-40] COUNTERSUNK HEADED SCREW N' NUT...
I THEN SHAVED WITH A SMALL KNIFE THEN FILED THE UNDER SIDE WHERE THE CONNECTORS WILL MOUNT...
THIS LETS ME RUN ANY HOT WHEELS STARTER SYSTEM ONTO DRAG TRACKS TRACK, AND THE HOT WHEELS LOOPS, JUMPS, AND FINISHLINES AT THE OTHER END... P.M. ME FOR MORE INFO IF NEEDED. ; Diecast Cars, Hot Wheels, Matchbox

Wow! Good work there...so if you extend the Dragtrack out to 30 feet will the timer still work, and is the transition between the two tracks smooth?

the transition both ways from D.T. to H.W, is very smooth, i put the electronic start and finish back in the box,
i use a mechanical home made or hot wheels start, and h.w. finish...
and yes the timer works with 12 extra feet of cable added [max. that i tried]...
i did not plan it this way... serendipity...
i use hot wheels start and finish lines, drag tracks in between...
but if you swap the two track sections that i made, end for end, you could use the electronic drag tracks start, clocks and finish with hot wheels track in between..[loop d loops, speedometer etc.].
who knew !
