how much space would i need for a open lane track like 3Dbotmakers?

ive been wanting to make a race track like his and i know how to put it together and stuff i just dont know how much space i would need to make said track. i also want to make it in a way where i can add a junkyard joust hill into it. like a two in one kind of thing.

I believe you can make a reasonable track in the footprint of 6' tall, 6-8' wide,
and 3 ft deep. A cheap shelving unit, or 2 as the "erector set" to start with
adding a joust track, and maybe a rally with the changable end, too HW jumps, loops, etc
plenty of "inside real estate"
multi level stuff going on, with short tracks
I've thought about doing a vid on this, because so many people would like a transportable rig
chinese shelfing is cheap, and my futurama used free takout
6" flooring to hold the track up
Many people think, can't do it, too big, not enough space
I have a 2/4 lane dirt oval under the couch (OTC Racing)
2 lane, 1/24 scale hard body slot cars
convert a closet...lol
many started in small places. I remember GTR before he moved,
that concept track was small
what's everyone else think?
What was your smallest track that was fun?

You need at least 4ft wide to accomidate the width of the turns
If I recall from his making-of series, the track is roughly 12-14 feet to wide and about 6 feet deep. He has it set up so the back walls are removable and its on casters, so he can move it and do track dressing without getting all weird. .
A more or less educated guess, Race City Japan appears to be a 10 x 14 foot set piece, minimum. The space demands for more modestly arranged tracks are surprisingly big as the elevation changes require building outward as well as down
Edit: find your favourite hosts' "Building Of. . ." or "Behind the Scenes" vids and the scale of them standing next to the tracks becomes so very clear
