I would say that it isn't but I could be wrong
Mattel, on the nearly-identical multipack exclusive for that year, was it too much a stretch to put wheels other than OH5 on it?
Thanks, Dutch. I would have gone back and forth on this one, seeing bare hints of the original bronze colour on the spokes.
I'm not too sure,no copper at all and doesn't have any winning capabilities
- Most weren't really spectacular new out of the package either. — GspeedR
- Surely that is false advertising if there isn't any/much difference to non fte — RalphsRacers
- `05 FTEs were the most consistent, quality seemed to fall off in later years. — GspeedR
- I thought fte had more to do with upgraded axle than the actual plastic wheel... I could be wrong... I usually am it appears... lol — Stoopid_Fish_Racing
I'm quite sure that it isn't an FTE. Wrong wheel color.
FTE or not, check how the wheels are, ie round/balanced/ spin work the wheels n axles up, test away and go!
Cheers
- Very true, OH5s + graphite = poor man's FTE — GspeedR
- this — dr_dodge
- Yes, good wheels are tough to find sometimes. — alva1370
- Just found another mustang with fte ,checked on wiki, numbers match, slow as anything. — RalphsRacers
- Try an `05 Mustang GT, they're usually much faster, the GT500s from 2010 just don't cut it. — GspeedR
OH5's but not FTE
FTE Gen1 2005-2006 ( bronze color)
FTE Gen2 2009 to 2011(bronze)
...FTE2 (Trap5) is not FTE Gen2
FTE Gen1 Gen2 and FTE2 are always the same color...Bronze is the correct terminology, but you here "copper" floated around a lot.
I believe it is.....the color on the wheels/rims does look a bit more silver than copper.....hard to tell if it's faded/worn though.
