Jammer cases at the sewing store

They used to sell these cases at Walmart, but haven't seen them anywhere local for a few years. Was shopping at a fabric store for my wife's Christmas gift and was amazed to see these on the shelf. They were being merchandised as sewing/crafting keepers.

These are perfect for displaying my favorite Hot Wheels. "F-2-E's" as my son calls them.

JoAnne's Fabrics????

That is where a lot of people go to get these now. They usually have sales on them a few times a year.

I think WalMart had to stop selling them because of the lead that was in the plastic and couldn't be sold as a "toy" accessory.

Actually I heard it's because kids would drop them and they would break easily.

Yes, I found some Jammers at Joann's too but they were $15! After paying $6 at Walmart a while ago, I keep hoping they'll bring them back. Online sources have them a bit cheaper but once you toss in shipping it probably evens out - so I guess expensive car cases is just a reality. At that price, I'll have to limit my purchases to one every couple months, boo!

I'd say there is a market ready to be captured there - affordable car cases! Someone work on that

Yes, it was Jo-Ann's Fabrics and fortunately they were 40% off so I got 2 of them for about $8 each.

Are they still on sale by chance?

Jo annes has ads galore every week. You can find a 40% off coupon pretty easy. Also if you go in to the store they often have the ads right near the front desk. If they are not on sale and there is no coupon just go back in a week or two.

Also I believe you can get them at Wal Mart . com and have them shipped for free to your local Wal Mart. I think you have to find them with the sewing stuff there as well, but the last time I looked they were out of stock.

Thanks for the details for Jo Annes. They have a new store here in town, but I never see their ads. Will check it out this weekend!

Time to start watching coupons...need to tell the wife, she's a coupon fiend.

BTW, here's the regular post for links to buying Jammers. Best price is about $8 online but that doesn't include shipping.
