Artificially generated content about to be affected by new policies. I hope that the rollout achieves what helps the overall community in a fair, precision-executed way.

Hosts, how do y'all feel? Uplifted or perhaps concerned how this impacts your shows?

I think it will make you tube better

those AI channels suck bandwidth from real creators

  • Fingers crossed, 'cuz it's been a tsunami of slop of late across the platform. Also hopeful that racing hosts whose videos have some artificial "seasoning" in the mix don't get swept up negatively — Chris_Hood
  • I read it, my guess, it will rate AI vo, AI intro, etc, cause their AI will know, right?..... — dr_dodge

hopefully it takes videos like that stupid Pug Action Hero slop out of the algorithm and directs it back to human creators, not just our niche hobby (as nice as that would be) but human content in general.

  • and all the ai game "screen vids" stuff, too — dr_dodge

I support YTs position basically for the same reason I dont think songs written by AI should be a way for the humans behind it to collect royalties.  Yes, there are actual songs on Spotify that are supposedly written by bands (ahem... Sunset Velvet), but are all AI generated.

  • I really hope it gets rid of AI music from my suggestions. Another thing I enjoy doing outside of racing is to uncover old, lost music and bring it back to YouTube and that garbage is the bane of my existence in those endeavors. — HSLmotorsports

I use a bit of Ai in my videos, but generally only formy silly channel ads and some additional voices, so I'm not concerned for my channel.

Some of the AI stuff I've seen out there out there is actually quite good, but I get sick of the stuff that is obviously made as click bait and people have put no work at all into making it other than writing a couple of prompts and then publishing.
