JumpX - Events 2025 & 2026

DiecastRacingNews Thursday, 7/24/2025

The first event is being hosted this weekend, "The Launch", and for the remainder of the year I will have:

  • Airborne August - 24th Aug
  • Soar In September - 27th Sept
  • Orbital October - 26th Oct
  • November Nitro-Leap - 23rd Nov
  • The Gauntlet - 21st Dec (overall champion of champions crowned)

I have a 2026 calendar provisionally planned, but just tweaking a few things at the moment.

The "JumpX Championship" (in yellow) is the official JumpX Championship series for the best cars who have qualified via the qualification event in January.

The events in White are open events for all other non-JumpX Championship cars.

The purpley/pink dates are for The Gauntlet and Constructors Cup.

Three events which will differ from the usual format I am going to use are:

  • Constructors Cup - there will be a qualifying event for each make of car, where two drivers will then team up to represent that make at the Constructors Cup (think Ford vs Ferrari or Lancia vs Audi etc.). This is a team event and open to all cars, including JumpX Championship cars and drivers. It is a standalone cup event.
  • 24 Hours of The Pit - this will be held at the same time as Le Mans and as I did this year will be held in aid of a charity. All cars entered will have 24 jumps (one jump per hour) until the 24 hour clock runs out. The field will be large and the car with the total points at the end of the 24 Hours is crowned the champion. JumpX Championship cars are eligible to enter this event.
  • The Eliminator - think Royal Rumble in WWE. We start off with a certain number of cars for the first round of jumps, the one with the least points is eliminated and a new car joins and so on and so on, until there are no more cars and we just run down to the winner. JumpX Championship cars are excluded from entering this special open event.

JumpX Championship

This will have 20 cars competing over 12 rounds, with championship points attached to each round, and the same points format as Formula 1:

1st = 25pts, 2nd = 18pts, 3rd = 15pts, 4th = 12 pts, 5th = 10pts, 6th = 8pts, 7th = 6pts, 8th = 4pts, 9th = 2pts, 10th = 1 point

The winners of all the open events plus the 1st and 2nd in the JumpX Championship (possibly 3rd, if a car who has already qualified wins the 24 Hours) all qualify for the big finale which is "The Gauntlet" where a Champion of Champions is crowned.

That is the provisional plan which I am working on at the moment.

Discussion

Also be really great to link up with any other U.K. based diecast racing people here, possibly some live "jump" meet-ups here at Pit Bay. I'm looking forward to a few friends attending this week to "jump" but in reality they are not diecast racing fans but are joining in for this launch.

That sounds like a great setup, I like the idea of the 24 hours of the pit.  I would like to give it a go if possible!

  • Of course. I'm just sorting out DRN stuff and getting ready for The Launch on Saturday but will post about how 2026 is going to roll and if anybody fancied having a go at any of the JumpX events or the Championship. — DiecastRacingNews
