June race options...

There's lots of racing coming up...but, there's always room for a little more!
I've been thinking about what would be a good race to have after the Fat Fender race...and I have a couple of options...
Econo-Box Race - 35 gram, lightweights...cars to start off as 4-bangers (any era)...and use only the small wheels (fte's allowed)
Fiberglass Thrash - Everyone has Corvettes, Cobras and Vipers laying around, right? I'm thinking 57 gram, fte's...and maybe throw a few curves in on the tracks
Mopars vs The Rest - You know that I need an excuse to build an AMC Javelin...or Gremlin! To follow up the Trans-Am race, the rules would be the same...40 grams, late '60's or early '70's, ftes, Mopars vs Everything Else (except Ford or Chevy)...all racers to send in one of each.

Does anyone have a black light they could set up over their track? Or do a glow in the dark paint scheme? Might be difficult to video or photograph, but I could see some pretty interesting stuff running down the track.
Maybe I am just looking for a reason to buy a black light...lol
What about a race full of walmart trash bin cars? They'll never get more if they don't sell the junk on the pegs....

Interesting race idea.... Maybe a build for show online only contest so there are no size restrictions.

German cars would be fun. An Autobahn race. Porsches, BMWs, Mercedes...etc

Just adding to the Mad Max idea from above. Have any size "cars" from dune buggies to semis the race would be down to a two lane, to one lane section. Whoever makes it past that point first wins but if there's a wreck then the one that was less damaged wins. If your car or truck wreck was not survivable then you are out of the race. Better luck at the next venue. .................mmmwwwwaaahhh....<--- evil laugh....
Just tossing out Mad Max ideas...
Vehicle must have a "weapon."
Vehicle body must have parts from 3 donor cars.

Loving the Mad Max idea but instead of trying to judge who takes less "damage", if there's a wreck at the junction then the race just goes again until either someone wins. Shy of a wheel flying off the car, it should be able to roll...and if it's a slow roll due to a bent axle or something, then that's the punishment and other car should win easy, assuming it's not too busted up either.
I had a thought for a 3-axle tournament...everything entered must have 3 axles. Car could come with 3, like the street grader, or you make your own 3-axle car.
I'd separate this from the Mad Max idea if for no other reason than to get two tournaments out of it. Since the Mad Max concept is not really a "race" in the traditional sense, it would be a first-time thing that might not prove to be that interesting. So I'd leave that with simple rules, just a different style track. Then have the 3-axle/multi-donor thing be a separate tournament.

Already working on my Mad Max racer!!! LOL
I'm calling dibs on a Fantasy class tournament and a Van/Truck tournament of some sort...don't have all the details out of my head yet, but look for those come early Summer.
