kick'n around a couple ideas w/JDC442
I appreciate any feedback at this point, but here are a couple ideas I had spoke about with Jim, aka JDC442.
#1: VW Bug-out
A series or race of air cooled VW's only. One group of just beetles and the other group of early model air cooled VW's such as Buses, squarebacks, fastbacks, notchbacks, ghias, things, etc...
#2: Spoilers
A race of cars like the original spoiler series cars. Motor must penetrate the hood. One class of stock and the other class of mods.
Lmk. Anxious to here back. Since I don't have a track yet JDC442 stated he may be willing to let me co-host with him at his track.
Discussion
Both ideals sound promising...
Don't know much about VWs but it sounds cool and I'm in......
I like the blown motor theme...that's fun whether its stock or custom. I'd say it should have to be a car with a hood too, none of the rat rod style with the motor exposed entirely - that's too easy
Ooohh I really like the VW Beetle race idea, looks like I'll have to see if I can find a herbie if this takes place
If you can do Fords Fords Fords then why not V-Dub V-Dub V-Dub....?

Absolutely, it should be a modified version or variation of the cars from the original spoilers series, such as: Heavy Chevy, Large & in- Charger, SS Express, Nitty Gritty Kitty, King Kuda, TNT Bird, Sugar Caddy, Duster Thruster, Boss Hiss, etc..
I better specify that I'm not saying we should use actual Redline era cars but many have been released in the mainline, classics, since '68, Hot Ones, Redline Club, Cool Classics series as well.
What about Muscle Machines cars? That would be an interesting race I can already name some cars that would be great for the race with big motors sticking out: Rodger Dodger, Heavy Chevy, Plymouth Duster Thruster, '70 Dodge Charger R/T, 1958 Corvette (Big motor version), 1968 El Camino, Cars of the "Tooned" variety

I'm not sure the Muscle Machine brand cars will fit on the track, but I listed off some of the cars you mentioned.
