KING OF THE SHORT TRACK! (3) Previously Top Dog Challenge.
Saturday, July 13th, 2024
King of the hill style, continuous racing for the top 3 fastest cars on the dragstrip. The fastest three will be the top dogs and sit on the podium until they are knocked off. Weekly races began on 28 June and will go through 27 September 2024. Max of 8 cars per week will be raced. If no racing is to take place on a given week due to a lack of entries or other obligations, I will publish that here. I will create a new post each week if less than eight racers arrive for the current week of racing. If you enter multiple cars for one week, they will race the next available week due to when they were received. I will make every effort to include all entries as the weeks progress so every entry has a shot at the podium.

- 3.25in. long x 1.25in. wide. No taller than the finish line timer.

How to enter
Send your entries to:
Lloyd Robertson
25190 W. Parkside LN N, Buckeye AZ 85326
Include at least $10 for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be given to the winner as part of the prize.
Include a Race Entry ID slip with your entry
Track
2 lane 10' dragstrip with slanman timing.
Race format and scoring
Each car will face all other entries at least twice (one run per lane per opponent). To move to the next round and a shot at the podium, each car must win twice. The number of entries will determine the number of wins needed to move on and race the lowest car on the podium. For each podium race, a win will move them up, and a loss will leave them in their current position. Winning cars (drivers) cars will remain at the track until the end of the event or when all of thier cars are knocked from the podium.
Penalties/DNF
Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.
If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.
Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
Prizes
Bragging rights.
