LED Emergency Lights

I have wanted to come up with a simple way to light cars without wires

so, I did this.  no resistors needed, simple circuit

and the fiber makes it!

That's very cool dr! Will definitely investigate doing this

  • I have honestly spent decades destroying MB Trucks trying to do this for my train layouts. the key is the cr 2032 self limits it's current. that frees up the real estate needed — dr_dodge

Same. I'll have my neighbor do the modifying for me.

That's pretty cool! I have some supplies to try and wire in LEDs to some cars, but I haven't actually done it yet. I bought some boards from TechNickL Deisgns (www.technickldesigns.com/indexMain.html) for Police and regular lights for cars. I bought the smallest LEDs I could find and they are super tiny. My small tipped soldering iron doesn't heat enough up to melt the solder, I think I need a new tip for it. I also picked up some low temp solder to avoid heating the LEDs too much.

  • I just bought a new tip for my weller, more needle point, didn't think about low temp solder — dr_dodge
