M2 1:64 Figures... Worth Purchasing?
Took an extended lunch break at Walmart today. I ran across this Comp Cams car with figure and toolbox. Both seem to be from metal, especially the toolbox, it's heavy for it's size. I thought for $9.99 it was worth getting a car and two 1:64 accessories. There were 6 maybe 7 different ones. I might go back and check out the others this weekend. If anything it's a prop to help me sharpen my 1:64 photography skills... LOL
Do you think it's work the money? Are they in your area and have you bought one yet?

I just picked up some american dioramas, $10 for "a card"
I saw some at hobby lobby similar to yours.(M2's I think)
almost bought them.
so seems to be the going rate, so I'd say yea worth it
Hobbylobby has some HO scale painteds that looked good, too
they were cheaper.
HO (1:87) work good in places to get depth into the back of the picture,
cause the people are smaller

Still don't understand why 1/64 figs are twice the price of top notch 32mm gaming figures
Someone needs to start a revolution
- alot is plastic vs metal. If someone could 3d print molds, and use the low temp diecast, you could make way more figures than just printing the firures — dr_dodge
- Niche demand product, and with quality, will always be pricey compared to larger scale, bigger demand, mass produced items. This area is still in the "boutique" stage. Lower production runs, higher cost per unit AND sold in specialty stores — Chris_Hood
If you don't have a printer, it might be.
A box of American Diorama figures are 4-6 figurines and maybe a bit of brickabrack, for about 15-20 dollars, on amazon.
That works out to about 6 dollars a figure over the long term. Cheap-ish but also, limited in scope in terms of figurines.
This one, if you want the car, seems like a decent bonus.
