Mainline/Premium in different weight races?

Diecast_Autosports Saturday, 8/17/2024

Assuming because of weight most 40g ish races everyone uses mainline. Though, for higher weight races are most people using premium? Feel free to share more info or share builds as examples. Thanks in advance

A metal base, no matter how it is obtained, will only be a boon to building a car with lower centre of gravity compared to the same casting with a plastic base. In some cases, folks will buy a mainline and its clone in the Color Shifters line to get a mated metal base for building.

Wheel swapping a premium? Huh, it would be a streamlined process at least, can't argue against that! Provided the skills are there in working with metal base, which I feel is more involved compared to plastic, why not?

  • Figured that would be the case. Weight lower is better. Still might do some mainline at higher weight races just because of cost/availablity. Thanks for the response — Diecast_Autosports
