Majorette Mayhem?
Well, maybe, I haven't quite decided on how to proceed but mayhem is an option. So I just put up a unboxing video on a majorette BMW 2002 car in the collection series. Based on the details on the casting, etc. I would call this probably a hot wheel premium plus plus. The overall quality and paint is really pretty good and I think it's a certainly a little bit over a typical hot wheels premium. I like the fact that it comes with screws and not rivets and on this particular model and I think some of the collection series cars have simple suspension. So right below is the link to the YouTube video.
and finally below I have some pics of the internals of the car and their clever mechanism for suspension. Which frankly, I think will make swapping axles out a breeze no more gluing and all that sort of stuff. I'd say there's a good chance I'm gonna just rebuild this thing with a nickel plated pins as the axles and I will see what kind of wheels I can come up with for for the track. Tally Ho!
I'll add that the price on Amazon for this is $13.99 - I did not shop around

So wrapping today's work up, I could see how this could be raced But there would need to be a series of modifications. This car will be a display car and it looks great with the whire spoke wheels

- I do have a soft spot for Majorette, and have a collection of them. Some models can be quite...fast as stocks. It is a big pity in general about the wheel quality in plastic wheel section. Many, not all have treads both sides, but the bigger issue is so many badly formed wheels, r not centred hubs. Such a shame as yes, they do — CutRock_R_Marc_D
- make some very nice models. Cheers — CutRock_R_Marc_D
- It does look better with a good set of wheels! — Stoopid_Fish_Racing

I have a few cars like this that have the U shaped wire suspension... Deppeneuse Truck comes to mind... anyway... I have tried various diameter wire to change the "spring rate" with varying degrees of success. I like the style majorette gives their cars. Always seems the Diecast body is better than the rest.
