Make your own shipping boxes

Zamak_Speed_Shop Tuesday, 12/10/2024

Decided to try and make a box for mailing cars to races.  Turned out to be easy. I've had trouble finding small boxes and bigger ones add to your shipping expense.  Free cardboard and 15 minutes later....viola. A nice small box.

I have a big box in the corner that any small boxes, along with buble wrap / packing to go into,
amazon packageing, etc,
Cause I never had the right box...lol
also funny to pick a car box and remove the return lable and see 2 other racers addresses on the box,
from previous shipping to races

  • Yep I keep and reuse boxes. Even made a few as well from other used cardboard! Cheers — CutRock_R_Marc_D
  • That's awesome the journey those boxes took to and from races. — LobotomyScam

For my GTR Jeep, I made a box using hot glue. I was worried about the axles bending in the mail. Maybe it worked but maybe it didn't because the Jeep sure didn't work!

  • never wrap the car tight, I loose wrap in a papertowel, then sandwich baggie w/ a little air, then bubblewrap — dr_dodge
  • I like to put packing peanut on the base between the wheels. Hold in place with a rubber bad. Helps protect the wheels from any impact — Zamak_Speed_Shop

Ok, I made 2 boxes today. I got a phone call. When I got back I forgot which one is which. Dutch Clutch and Elevation Diecast I hope you get the right one.
