Making the track quieter

LTNDiecast Monday, 4/20/2026

Hi guys I finally got round to making a track set up however the more cars I run on it and the faster they go the noisier it gets, is there any way to make it quieter?

I'm afraid not, sorry. 20+ years of running warehouse equipment has left me sensitive to certain frequencies, so I feel your frustration. If you run Matchbox cars, the tiny "treads" on the wheels will make them scream like angry kittens

Mattel purpose built their track, at least in the Golden Era when playsets HAD track to speak of, specifically for the cars to run on. Softer straight pieces, smoother curves. Hah, that sound is basically ASMR material compared to the Adventure Force Crash Racers (AFCR) you have. Since that was made for powered cars and rubber tyres, there will be a subtle texturing to enhance traction. The whine you hear from plastic-on-plastic is the result even with smoother Hot Wheels shoes

While today's 3D printed track, Spool Heads Slanman and others, are smoother than they were before, running on that surface is actually LOUDER. May I suggest some foam earplugs for those extended race sessions? Best of luck
