Material Used For Wheel Alignment
I have a question, what is the material used to set the chassis when installing the axles back on. The material has ribs going across it.
Thanks

Someone else had posted about using pencils to make a ad hoc jig as well. I'll try to find the picture but they basically took a bunch of round pencils and lined them up. Make sure they're straight, glue them together and then lay your car on top to help align.
While not as a "pro" as a milled jig, better than nothing or doing it by eye and hoping for the best - although, I should state that I've always taken the "hope for the best" route and things don't turn out horrible ;)
LOL, I was just searching for the same thing Brian.

It's pretty easy to build. But, I keep forgetting to use it. Lol
I use the pencil approach, seems to work well and cost effective

Hi!
Thanks Guys, for mentioning my jig. I haven't had a chance lately to make some new ones...hopefully soon!
Here is a link to Smitty using one that I made...

They are pretty simple...I use a ball mill and machine grooves every .200" on one side and every .300" on the other.
