Medieval question...for knights of the Derby of Redline.

Hello everyone,
I saw mentioned in a post -On the bench- I believe, jousting. I've not heard of that, at least not in the diecast car sense. Is it something like smash up derby? That is what I initially thought of when I saw it, which reminded me of SST Smash 'em up derbys. Anyone else have those as a kid?
My brain also started thinking... the world is a dangerous place, accidents happen all the time. Perhaps I will work on cars that have been in a smash up derby. I did a crashed '69 camaro a bit ago, stay tuned for a picture.
Thanks,
Jim @ Sunshine City Garage

Junkyard Joust. Dutch posted the link. The videos are very well made and entertaining!
- I started at the beginning and watched the first video. I like the idea and see there is some strategy to it. — Sunshine_City_Garage
Pictures of the camaro.

- A realistic piece for almost any garage diorama. — GspeedR

- For the hood and damaged fenders I used a coke can but it was difficult to work with. My next one which I don't know what kind of car or what happened to it yet I'm going to use the peel away foil metal on applesauce and yogurt cups. I found that this is strong enough to hold up to handling but still easy to manipulate. Any suggestions as to the next car should be? — Sunshine_City_Garage
- Also thanks everyone for the compliments! — Sunshine_City_Garage
- Dude, that's sweet. Care to tell us a little more about how you built it? — SpyDude
- Thanks for the compliments guys. Spydude, I will be doing an entry on how I made it pros/cons and how I will be doing it differently moving forward. Look for it in a few days. — Sunshine_City_Garage
I'll check out the link tonight thanks!
- the joust also has a discord channel, the invite (i think) is in the description, and joust is great fun! — dr_dodge
- After watching a couple of episodes I must say that I'm intrigued. I am looking at cars a bit differently now also... — Sunshine_City_Garage
Hey Jim,
'Sir Cumference' (a.k.a. Craigster Sr.) checking in!... LOL
Man, Super Sonic Power 'Smash-up Derby' was one of my favorite childhood toys! Blast from the past for sure...
Aaron, the host of Junkyard Joust also has a variation called 'Apocalypse Joust' which is a 'Mad Max' style version of the same event. He has a new season of that just starting too, and I have a team entered called 'The Highway Hooligans'!
Good stuff... Craigster
