Molding Materials

Anybody have suggestions for doing bodywork/bondo type filler stuff for smoothing out seams or making flairs or any type of "from scratch" kind of things?

I guess JB Weld works as good as anything.

Something like clay. Where you could work it and mold it, but then hardens up permanently.

I.M.O. try plumber's putty, sands fairly "fine".... mix [nead] it, [blue], and the hardener, [white]... stiffens up in under an hour...sandable in ? maybe 24 hrs....clean diecast very well, doesn't stick if you don't... short cigar size tube = 58 grams... about $3
tried it as i wanted to use it as weight... too light

Oh, it being light could be a plus.

IMO paint doesn't stick to well to JB Weld, but it could be me.

Good point. I've never tried to paint it now that I think about it.

I.M.O. it's like bondo, kinda sucks up the paint, multi [light] primer coats till the color shades equal out...
