Mustang Mayhem at La Caridura Racetrack (NOW CLOSED)

Mustangs driving chaos and excitement on a head to head battle down La CARIDURA RACETRACK. Will those Mustangs live up to their reputation ??? Are we going to find that Alpha one who can dominate the competition and the track ?

Rules & restrictions

• Modified entries only
• 48 car field 
• 60g maximum weight
• 3.25in. long x 2in. tall x 1.25in. wide
• Limit 1 entries per household
• Retail axles and wheels only. FTE/NPA axles allowed.
• Dry lube only , you are allowed to use silicone mix however if the car drips on the track will be disqualified .

Dates & deadlines

All entries must be received by the host before Sunday, 9/13/2026. Racing is scheduled for Sunday, 9/20/2026. Results will be posted on or after that date as is convenient for the host.

Include at least $10.00+$5.00 entry fee for return shipping if you want your entries back. Entries not getting returned will be used for background and development purposes.

Race format and scoring

Head to head racing action , initial brackets will be determined based on average time on two qualifying runs.
On this tournament a handicap rule will be implemented duringthe fist round... car with the slowest time will be starting on the inside lane fastest one on the outside, after the first round the handicap rule is no longer in effect racing will continue as normal , brackets will be completely randomized.

The car that wins the final race will be declared the winner. Race host has final decision in all races.

1. Any Mustang any year 

2. Max weight 60 grams 

3. Body lines must be stock ,no funnycars or Tooned vehicles allowed 

4. Tinted , painted windows are ok

5. Tires must be black  , no conical or Skinnies allowed. 

6.NPAs allowed  

7.Axlel tubes allowed 

8. Custom paint job encouraged but not required 

Penalties/DNF

Cars are given a grace of 1g over the stated weight limit to account for variance in scales.

If a car fails to meet any of the restrictions listed above, the car will not qualify for victory. Offending cars will still race. Finish position and any prize will go to the runner-up in the case of the penalty car winning.

Cars that fail to run or fit on the track, or that happen to break during racing, will forfeit their matches. Cars that arrive broken will attempt to be minimally repaired before the racing begins. Cars that break during racing will not be repaired or replaced.
